We develop software to increase the efficiency of computer-aided development processes.

Based on our vast experience with customers in the automotive industry, we know all about every phase of the cable harness production process and the particular requirements of the field. Our patented method for applying engineering knowhow is already built into our software tools – programs anticipate actions, detect errors in time and replace manual tasks prone to error.

The smartCable portfolio

We offer a modular program system for the development and manufacturing of cable harnesses. The communication platform of the individual programs is the central master model. It not only describes the elements of the cable harness, it also models the behavior and mutual dependencies. A knowledge base that the customer can continue to expand processes engineering knowhow such that programs can use it for decision-making purposes. The direct relation to the 3D geometry is not lost, so the simulation can be integrated at any time. The model description from the design phase is used, so the work planning required for the manufacturing process is replaced with a simulation, which in turn ensures cost transparency. The Highlights

Our software tools are model-based; electrical and thermal simulation programs can be integrated via interfaces.
Errors are detected as they occur. Anticipated design costs can be calculated at every phase on the basis of the data model and standard time catalogs. This also applies to planned modifications. Integrated, automated change management allows changes made to the initial 3D topology and wiring data to be added to the existing documentation; synchronization of the revision status is thus automated. Manual tasks are greatly reduced.
The wiring harness interfaces KBL and VEC are supported.
