CALC – Calculation of manufacturing costs

Developers are not cost accountants – this is why smartCable has developed a calculation process for customer-specific configurations. The knowledge of the work planer, saved in standard time catalogs, is used to calculate the manufacturing times.

Material costs are derived from the configured parts list. Differential calculations are applied to calculate differences in material costs and manufacturing times. This allows the cost of every planned change to be assessed with no manual effort! Transparency is ensured.

The potential degree of automation of a design is a by-product of this procedure.
